Job Title: Store Manager
Reports to: Director level employees based on Department & Founder
Manages: 33 Orchard Store, Sales and Staff
Status: Full Time Exempt
Position summary: This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Store Manager to flex their skills in the context of a small and growing brand. Responsible for running the store like a small business from staffing to operations to product ordering to building strong client relationships PLUS leading in-store pop-up events and Bead Nights and making jewelry in-store for our best selling ‘Make Your Own’ program. The ideal candidate has experience in store management and is looking to work in a high-vibe environment that is friendly, fun, and inclusive. Having a background in marketing, crafting, or theater is a plus!
Store Manager Responsibilities
Job Requirements
Leadership & People Management:

Set clear goals and expectations for the team and provide consistent performance feedback and coaching to drive results

Identify, hire and train sales individuals from like-minded brands who can contribute to store culture and client-focused environment

Lead by example and create an environment and a team that consistently delivers best-in-class customer experiences
-
Oversee the development of building the staff clientele and ensure client expectations are being met through building relationships and customer satisfaction

Oversee the development of clientele by designing and supporting strategic initiatives that build
-
Customer base and increase repeat business
Operational Excellence:
-
Understand and adhere to all operational procedures and ensure the efficient running of store
-
Operations and Visuals
-
Perform administrative tasks including the timely submission of all personnel paperwork, preparing and submitting reports, and monitoring sales receipts and cash
-
Monitor stock and inventory
-
Create and maintain employee schedule including request off, team coverage, holidays, events, and pop-ups
-
Maintain visual merchandising directives and store cleanliness
-
Manage weekly Purchase Order for the store and maintain inventory levels on sales floor and back stock
-
Stay in constant communication with production team on launches and any product issues
-
Order supplies for the store including toilet paper, paper towel, cleaning supplies, etc.

Send daily sales EOD reports via email, reply to team when they write the EOD, train team on successful and engaging communication in writing

Report data for commissions payouts on a monthly basis in a timely manner, when applicable

Train and develop staff based on training tools and experiences
Business Sales:
-
Holds self and team accountable for the achievement of financial targets through monitoring and improvement of measurable statistics that drive the business

Weekly and monthly reporting to reflect sales, KPIs to be delivered to leadership

Strategize and report on plans to exceed monthly and/or quarterly/annual store goals set by the Leadership Team and send at a regular cadence

Manage store supplies and operating budget

Strategize ways to improve average order values

Maintain, strategize and execute clientele efforts to lead the business to positive community engagement and sales

Hold regular sales trainings with store staff

Job Title: Freelance/PT Content Creator
Reports to: Leadership Team
Status: Part-time hourly, flexible
- Collaborating and communicating directly with the founder/creative director and marketing team to develop, produce and execute social shoots to support the social channels, primarily Instagram and TikTok.
- Deliver content to founder in an organized and agreed upon manner so she can post to her account(s) seamlessly.
- Keep up with the latest social trends and work in collaboration with Susan Alexandra senior leadership and marketing team in executing a social media strategy to engage with followers and grow our digital community.
- Ideate, create and execute fresh social media content in our brand voice that aligns with creative direction and supports the brand vision.
- Attend weekly marketing meetings (usually about 30 mins) virtually or in-person.
- Attend ad hoc events in order to capture social content (store bead nights, fashion week events, beading parties, corporate events).
- Develop and present weekly social media data to marketing team ie. engagement, clicks to site, etc.
